How to make Homemade Vanilla Orange Citrus Soap

Whether you’re taking a shower or a bath it’s nice to have a soap that takes care of your skin and leaves a subtle fragrance behind as well.  This Homemade Vanilla Orange Citrus Soap smells amazing, makes your skin so smooth and it looks great on display.  Sometimes when I make these soaps I feel they’re so pretty I don’t even want to use them so I love to display them in my kitchen, guest bathroom and main bathroom for guest to enjoy.  The process of making soaps is so easy and I love how versatile you can get with the additives you add in.  I really hope you enjoy this tutorial and you’ll give Homemade Soap making a go.

Homemade Vanilla Orange Citrus Soap

  • 8 Small Cubes of Stephenson Personal Care Melt & Pour Soap Base (Purchase here)
  • Vanilla Essential Oil (Purchase here)
  • Orange Zest
  • Poppy Seeds
  • Silicone Mold Cavity (Purchase here)

Cut up 4 large cubes of Melt & Pour soap base and cut that down into smaller cubes to make the melting process faster and smoother.  Place your cut cubes into a microwave safe glass bowl and place in the microwave for 1 minute.

Remove from the microwave, give it a quick stir and place back in the microwave for an additional 30 seconds and remove.  You’ll now notice your melt & pour soap base is completely melted and smooth and it’s time to start adding in your goodies.  I added in 10 drops of Vanilla essential oil, a dash of Poppy Seeds and a nice helping of Orange Zest.  Give the mixture a quick stir and pour into your soap mold very quickly.

Once the mixture is poured don’t touch it and let it sit for a minimum of 2 hours.  Once your soap has hardened remove from the silicone molds and enjoy.
